We are excited to announce the opening of Grand Tour Italia, an extraordinary project set to launch on September 5, 2024, in Bologna, replacing FICO. This ambitious endeavor spans 50,000 square meters, offering a unique experience that allows you to traverse the entirety of Italy in just 5,000 steps. Each region will have its dedicated space, representing a vertical journey through the agricultural, cultural, and folkloric richness of our country. Conveniently, the park is only 900 meters from our hotel, making it easily accessible for our guests.
A Journey Through Italian Regions
Grand Tour Italia is designed to provide an immersive experience that celebrates the diversity and beauty of Italy's twenty regions. Each region will have a dedicated area featuring:
Traditional Osterias: 20 regional osterias offering a rotation of menus and management, allowing visitors to taste local culinary specialties.
Sales Areas: Spaces where you can purchase regional products, from food delicacies and beverages to crafts.
Educational Areas: Zones dedicated to enogastronomy, history, culture, and regional traditions, in collaboration with Scuola Holden, Coldiretti, and Slow Food.
Landscape Areas: Spaces promoting tourism and offering an immersion into the characteristic landscapes of different regions.
Sustainability and Tradition
Grand Tour Italia places great emphasis on environmental sustainability. The products offered are primarily sourced from organic or sustainable sources, ensuring an eco-friendly experience. This commitment is also reflected in the introduction of a go-kart track featuring state-of-the-art electric vehicles with zero emissions, for eco-friendly fun.
A Rich Cultural Program
The project extends beyond gastronomy. Grand Tour Italia will host courses on enogastronomic culture, cooking lessons, and agro-food education. Additionally, there will be a rich program of cultural, enogastronomic, and folkloric events in constant evolution, always offering new discoveries and learning opportunities.
New Features and Attractions
Among the new features is the library "I Capolavori," created in collaboration with Scuola Holden. This library will offer a collection of 1,200 of the most important books in history, including Italian and international essays and novels, children’s and young adult books, as well as food and cooking texts available for free consultation and purchase as used.
Also confirmed is the Luna Farm, the amusement park for children and families, which will continue to entertain with its rides, games, video games, and areas for private parties. Furthermore, the Multimedia Educational Areas have been renovated and will offer guided tours through the regions with four stops and tastings.
Art and Photography
Grand Tour Italia will host an exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art and photography in collaboration with EARTH Foundation. Here, visitors can admire contemporary photography exhibitions and special installations exploring the connection between visual arts and enogastronomy.
